CAMERYN MOORE is an award-winning playwright/performer, sex activist and educator, and, oh yeah, a phone sex operator. Her work in theatre, literature, an activism/advocacy is both a challenge and invitation to adventurous audience everywhere. She is the creator and performer of a trilogy of sex- and kink-positive solo shows: Phone Whore (2010), slut (r)evolution (2011), and for | play (2012). These shows have toured to 34 cities around North America so far; this year, Phone Whore is heading to the Edinburgh Fringe and a three-city UK tour in August and September. Meanwhile, the screen adaptation of Phone Whore is scheduled for release in early September. Cameryn was selected to be the first Foreign Artist in Residence at MainLine Theatre in Montréal for the 2012-2013 season, and the product of that residency, Release (a six-character solo play), had its world premiere in Montréal in April 2013, to critical acclaim.
In addition to her work in solo theatre and film, Cameryn produces a wide array of sex-positive community events and performance happenings, including Smut Slam, Sidewalk Smut, and Mystery Porn Theatre 3000. This past May she debuted Intimacy Improv, a new adult sex-ed course combining sexual imagination, dirty talk, and improv; in June she is launching the Sexploreum, an interactive sex-education installation project. Cameryn writes a weekly column for the Charlebois Post, posts bi-weekly to her eponymous blog, and frequently posts NSFW updates to Facebook.
